Energy Jeopardy Games
After years of effort, the IBM team responsible for developing the supercomputer named "Watson" thinks they are ready to challenge and defeat the two greatest Jeopardy! champions of all time.
Final preparations are now being made and the excitement is building, at least among the IBM team and those with an interest in artificial intelligence. Watson will challenge the two greatest Jeopardy! champions in history, Brad Rutter and Ken Jennings. The long-awaited challenge is a contest of computer chips and bytes vs. brains. On February 14, 2011, we will be able to celebrate Valentine's Day and possibly the triumph of artificial intelligence, all on the same day.
Jeopardy! May Be Only a Game But It Challenges the Mental Abilities of Contestants
Jeopardy! has quite a history as a long running American TV show, which was originally created by Merv Griffin in 1964. The show features questions and contestants must provide answers about trivia in history, literature, the arts, pop culture, science, sports, geography, wordplay, and similar categories. While the questions may be trivial in nature, they present a true challenge to the mental abilities and intelligence of contestants.
