Old Firm

Rangers came to Parkhead as Champions and their fans turned out all ready to gloat at Parkhead as many brought balloons and wore party hats. For Celtic it was a case of recording their first win over their Glasgow rivals in over a year and the Celtic fans certainly felt the feel-good factor back at Celtic Park.

McGregor Injury

The first piece of action in the opening minutes was an injury to Rangers goalkeeper Allan McGregor. The Scotland international went down holding his knee and was stretchered off and replaced by Neil Alexander.

Naylor Goal

Alexander's first touch of the ball was when he picked it out of his own net. Lee Naylor's seventh minute free kick was blasted low across the surface and took a deflection off Rangers captain, David Weir, before fizzing into the bottom left hand corner of Alexander's goal. It was a rare goal for Naylor who was celebrating his third for the club and it sparked huge celebrations round Parkhead.
